Do Social Empathy Film Series: A Lien / Green

Do Social Empathy Film Series: A Lien / Green Online

The Do Social Empathy Film Series is an opportunity to virtually watch short films that inspire compassion and understanding towards other. After each online screening, our own Laurel Ridge sociology students will host discussion that encourages participants to reflect upon the diversity of human experiences alongside sociological concepts.

On Thursday, October 30th, we will host a virtual double screening of the short films A Lien and Green, two narrative dramas that touch on the harsh realities of the U.S. immigration system and the lives it impacts.

Participants are welcome to join through Zoom to watch the screen-shared film, then participate or observe as our students generate discussion. There is no expectation to share but attendees are encouraged to join in if they feel comfortable!
